everything I loved was fool’s gold and even that has turned to dust I’m a stranger in my own land I am nothing but a ghost and the new beginning I was promised it must have come without display either that or they forgot to turn the lights on that light the runway you can’t say that I don’t love you I say as i run my hands along my corduroys It’s hard for me to be here we both know it’s our pride and the new beginning I was promised it must have come without display either that or they forgot to turn the lights on that light the runway written by Tara Craig

Hold My Sail 04:54
I was orbiting a sphere A radiant heat and power Today I broke free from fear Into a meteor shower Now battered by the shocks Tossed across the spans This sea of hurtling rocks Is crux of who I am Harbored man, leeward son Steering through the columns One by one Cherub child, invalid One will reckon with the choices made And that is me... You drew me in that is clear Persuasive as the laws of gravity But today I leave the pier An inner force controls me Harbored man, leeward son Steering through the columns One by one Cherub child, invalid One will reckon with the choices made And that is me... And that is me... And that is me... Oh oh oh Listing, leaning, barely breathing Hold my sail Listing, leaning, barely breathing Hold my sail There's tales to tell sunshine and moonlight stars careening, hold my sail I just need to sleep one more meal to eat I just need some sleep, one more meal to eat Harbored man, leeward son Steering through the columns One by one Cherub child, invalid One will reckon with the choices made Cherub child, invalid One will reckon with the choices made Written by Charlie Cheney and Tara Craig

Phantoms 03:18
So many letters I wrote but I’ll never send So many thoughts of you Shadows of you They’re taunting me We walk with phantoms We are surrounded We walk with phantoms of love we once had Intricate maps I’ve drawn and still somehow I’m lost And you never find me Intricate maps, I’ve drawn all details of people and places and things that you taught me We walk with phantoms We are surrounded We walk with phantoms of love we once had They say blood Is thicker than water But they both flow from my cupped hands We walk with phantoms We are surrounded We walk with phantoms of love we once had We walk with phantoms We are surrounded We walk with phantoms written by Tara Craig

once again, under my skin once again, under my skin and I can’t seem to shake you and I can’t seem to shake you And the lights are coming on at the water’s edge The peninsula wakes up at night as the the boats begin their light parade The peninsula wakes up at night as the moon hangs in serenade Once again written by Tara Craig

We talked until the sun came up Then we talked some more Books spread out around our feet We sat on my living room floor I told you of things I know Like religion and philosophy You read aloud the most beautiful poetry When you’re near me My heart beats so fast I feel like my chest Can’t hold it in When I’m with you I can’t stop smiling Can’t stop laughing It’s just what we do We climbed to the highest spot To watch the setting sun Radio towers, jet streams, whispering children You slept next to me We dared not touch I dreamt of kissing you in the freshly fallen snow When you’re near me My heart beats so fast I feel like my chest Can’t hold it in When I’m with you I can’t stop smiling Can’t stop laughing It’s just what we do written by Tara Craig

I’m new in town yeah I’m new here but it feels so familiar like I’ve already lived a life here getting here was a journey more like a battle sometimes and I’m road worn and threadbare I’ve got desert dirt on my boots and under my fingernails and I’ve lost so much I’m not sure I can keep anything but you feel like a forgotten home I’ve been on the road for so long I’m ready to sit for awhile settle in, unpack, take my shoes off cause you feel like a forgotten home foreign and uncharted so let’s just cut the bullshit we both know what we want and it’s this and this alone but we’re gonna have to drive around a little we’re gonna have to get lost a few times until we learn the landmarks and the landmines until we know all the speed traps until we know all the sharp curves until we know the best place to pull over on the side of the road to make out I wanna drive all your back country roads I wanna know where all the kids go to get stoned I wanna swim in all the best swimming holes I wanna find the best place to see the stars and I wanna just lay there I wanna just lay there and watch the earth spin cause you feel like a forgotten home foreign and uncharted oh you feel like a forgotten home foreign and uncharted Written by Tara Craig and Leah Neas

Fragile and flawed we are Broken and battle scarred With arms wide open With doors wide open With my heart wide open I’ll shelter you When all is said and done We’re all we really have When all is said and done There’s nothing greater than love Little bird Little bird with the broken wing You were grounded Little bird with the broken wing Confused and afraid Crash landed
I drove through the pouring rain I had to keep you safe I drove through the pouring rain I don’t regret a thing
I drove through the pouring rain I had to keep you safe
I drove through the pouring rain I don’t regret a thing
When all is said and done
We’re all we really have
When all is said and done There’s nothing greater than love written by Tara Craig

Homecoming 03:18

about

Tara Craig’s self-titled album is her most personal work to date. Craig wrote/co-wrote, produced, engineered and mixed every song on the album and played each instrument with the exception of drums. Drums were played by Craig’s good friend and long time musical collaborator, Marco Arroyo.

Lush and moody, this self-titled album creates an intimate musical landscape that beckons the listener to explore – with Tara’s lyrics and melodies an enchanting guide.
